Our Story

The goal of early childhood education should be to activate the child's own natural desire to learn. - Dr. Maria Montessori

The Montessori movement has been transforming childhoods in India for decades, and Turtle Cove Montessori was born from a commitment to carry that mission forward.

We opened our doors as a sanctuary of early learning, where the wisdom of the Montessori method meets a child’s natural curiosity. This is not just a school. It is a Cove with an environment that is carefully prepared, peaceful, and warm. A space where children find the emotional security they need to focus deeply and explore freely.

The Turtle, for us, is a steady reminder that real learning is never rushed. When a child is allowed to master something steadily and without pressure, their understanding becomes deep and lasting. Like the turtle, they carry that inner strength with them always.

The Heart Behind Turtle Cove

Deval Bhuta

Founder

Deval's connection to Montessori runs deeper than most. Raised in a family rooted in the earliest days of the Montessori movement in India, she grew up with its values woven into her everyday life. She holds a Bachelor's in Psychology and dual AMI Diplomas for Primary (3–6) from Mumbai, India and Adolescence (12–18) from Ohio, USA. After six years as a lead directress at a prestigious Montessori school in Mumbai, she evolved from a student of the Montessori philosophy to a driver of its future. Turtle Cove Montessori is her way of giving every child the start they deserve, empowering confident global citizens of tomorrow.

Sakshi Sahil Notaria

Founder

Sakshi brings with her a rich, varied journey across PR, entrepreneurship, and business operations. After completing her PGP in Media & Entertainment, she built her career in PR before stepping into her family business, Khodal Fabric LLP. But it was motherhood that led her back to what she truly loves: early childhood development. Today, she channels that passion into creating a warm and joyful learning environment at Turtle Cove Montessori, to ensure that every child feels at home.

Siddhi Notaria

Founder

With an MBA in Finance and a CA Intermediate qualification, Siddhi's foundation lies in structure, discipline, and thoughtful decision-making. Qualities that, she discovered, sit right at the heart of the Montessori philosophy. Driven by her passion for early childhood education, Siddhi is committed to making Turtle Cove Montessori a nurturing space where children grow to become independent & confident learners, with a lifelong love for innovation and discovery.

Primary Program: Ages 2 to 6

Scientists call a child’s first six years the foundation for life. We call them the best years to get curious.

In our Primary Programme, your child steps into a world designed entirely for them, where learning happens through touch, movement, and the joy of discovery.

Following Dr. Maria Montessori's specifically designed curriculum, children shall explore six beautiful areas of learning in this program: Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, Culture, and the Arts.

Each area has its own special place, each activity its purpose, and each day its own quiet magic to make learning click naturally.

After School Programme: Ages 2 to 6

Montessori learning isn't something you grow out of, it's something you carry forward.
